The last time a Ranger model launched in the U.S. was back in 2011. This model didn’t do great in the American market, but has sold as the “T6” in other countries throughout the world since. But the 2019 is a new model, and with it comes new features that are not as reminiscent of the old. But, Ford seems to be achieving what it set out to do.
2019 Ford Ranger Features
So, you want to know: what features does it have? How does it look? It seems to have a good balance between tough and stylish. It has a high-ride look similar to that of the Taco and the Colorado ZR2. This makes the Ranger look sleek. Another perk? The drive. It drives better than you might expect it to. The two-wheel-drive Rangers have just under 8.5 inches of ground clearance. The 4x4s have half an inch more. While the four-wheel-drive option adds almost 250 pounds, the ride stays smooth.
The truck has a 2.3-liter turbocharged four-cylinder engine coupled with a 10-speed automatic. The most basic of the trucks are rear-wheel drive, with very small rear seats only if necessary. You can only fit a few things in the back.
Aside from the four-wheel-drive choice, the truck has some other optional features as well. Example? The electronic locking differential and an FX4 trim. But, the main goal of the 2019 Ford Ranger is for daily driving. It is really only meant for occasional hauling.
It has one engine option, which is smaller, but still powerful. The 2019 Ranger has a whole variety of off-road and on-road assistants, with crawl control being one of them. There is the Terrain Management system that allows you to choose from the normal settings: grass, gravel, and snow, another for mud, another for sand, etc.
Basically, the 2019 Ford Ranger is new, stylish, and ready to roll into your driveway this season. While it is not the Ranger of the past, it seems to be a solid Ranger for the future. Many truck fans are getting excited about giving it a try this new year. Will you?
