BMW – Powertrain Options

The BMW X3 2022 is an SUV with huge appeal. Moreover, it offers several powertrain options with varying degrees of performance plus efficiency. In addition, there is even the X4 if you prefer a different body style in exchange for less utility. Plus more money comes out of your wallet.

While it is seen as the most mainstream of all BMW models, the X3, is the company’s best-seller in the U.S. Moreover, that doesn’t mean it is going to go too far from the pursuit of the “Ultimate Driving Machine.” The BMW is not too far from the Porsche Macan and Alfa Romeo Stelvio. That is when compared to the pure driving experience. In fact, the basic xDrive30i model exhibits fun driving characteristics and it occurs maintaining a specific level of driving ease and comfort.

BMW – Mid-Cycle Refresh

In short, there’s a lot new for 2022. BMW treating the X3 to what is calling a mid-cycle refresh. This would include changes to the styling, interior, tech, and even powertrains.

There are also exterior changes that include a new, bigger kidney grille, plus slimmer headlights, and a new front bumper design. In fact, the rear taillights are really more distinctive with a shape that resembles that of cooking tongs. Also, the BMW styled up new exhaust exit trim in addition to new wheel options. There is also a special 19-inch aero wheel. That is more aerodynamic plus 15% lighter than the standard cast-aluminum wheels. Also, the X3 M does add a new front bumper with larger openings. In fact, the lower area does resemble the lower bumper design that is seeing on the new M3.

Infotainment System Display

The interior of the BMW does gain a larger infotainment system display. It is now 10.3 inches standard with an optional 12.3-inch screen. Also, the center stack’s climate and radio controls panel has been updating. That is to resemble that of BMW’s more recently redesigned models. In fact, the console below has also been redesigning. It does feature a new gear selector, button layout, and iDrive rotary controller. In fact, it is the same as you will see in the 3 Series. Partially analog and partially digital is the standard instrument cluster. Yet you can option up to the all-digital 12.3-inch cluster.
