A crash happened in the early morning involving an 18-Wheeler and a pick up truck. Two women were killed, five other people got critically injured.

The accident happened at about 1:30 AM on I-35 near Rutherford Lane. It is reported that the pick up truck was stopped on the highway for the reason yet unclear. The 18-Wheeler crashed into it from behind at highway speed. 70 miles per hour is the speed limit in the area of the accident.

The people who died in the crash were Telesfora Moran Fuentes, 46, and Yesenia Nayeli Resendiz, 23, both from Oklahoma City.

Three children and an adult were taken to hospital with critical injuries. The woman who was driving the big rig got minor injuries.
